Destiny Makati held its inaugural Young Professionals' Summit last May 15, 2009 at Rizal Recreation Center. It has been a long time since I was last here and I enjoyed every moment of it.
Destiny Binan celebrated their first anniversary last June 28, 2009 at Pavillion Mall Activity Center. I could recall that the activity center was so open that our sound system power was not enough and people at the back would have difficulty hearing.
Looking back at these pictures, it seems like that the theme of the anniversary was about Cory Aquino, but this event was at least a month before her death. I have a great yellow baseball cap as my souvenir from the event.
The first Destiny Alabang Encounter God Retreat (EGR) was held at South Gate Building in Madrigal Business Park from May 1 to May 4, 2008 and was one of the first church events I covered with my Nikon D40. This retreat is memorable since it led to the growth of Destiny Cavite, Binan and Makati.
It was a early Sunday morning of March 1, 2009 for me as I prepared for praise and worship for Destiny Makati's first anniversary. The venue was ironically held in Pateros, but the favor from the people of Grand Villa Resort was given to us. The venue was a great one. The resort was one jeepney ride away from Guadalupe, Makati.
After so much great testimonies that has been witnessed in Destiny Ministries for the past six months, it was fitting to have a mid-year celebration. It was held last Sunday, July 22, 2007 at Olivarez Cinema at Los Banos. It was a great time to give Him the praise and worship He deserves and is an invitation for Him to do more for the second half of the year.
Drifting away from all the angst I've muttered in the last post, I'd like to recommend a movie, just to lighten up my mood. It's very rare that I recommend a movie, especially if I have personally deprived myself of Titanic, Star Wars 1 - 6, Lord of the Rings Trilogy, Spiderman 1 and 2, and the like. It's a Korean movie that has been dubbed in Tagalog, entitled, "My Sassy Girl". I predict that it'll be a hit.
This article is from the Alabang Life Club Newsletter, celebrating its first anniversary of His faithfulness
"The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I came that they may have life, and have it abundantly"
This verse from Jesus may seem so simple, but it reveals a story for all the ages, from the beginning to eternity. Focusing on the second part of the verse, we see the reason why Jesus came to the earth. If Jesus did not come to the earth, we would be dead. Some of us would be startled with the former sentence since we are alive right now and we are breathing.
