What is Open Source?

Open Source is a set of principles that encourages sharing of intellectual property, in our case we will focus on software. It is different from public domain, because works under public domain can be incorporated in a derivative work and that work becomes copyright.

I am a big fan of the open source concept. The concept is to share knowledge to the community while keeping it open for others to improve upon the knowledge. Open source also involves the community for its survival.

In this section, I will write articles on my favorite open source projects and issues that arise in using open source.
